Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, demons, and dark forces expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team features Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants retribution.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could help the team reach areas they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This means them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
Future Episodes
Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Questers and Strategists tables.
Fans can anticipate finding out which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
